We did it!
BIG NEWS! We did it! Actually, YOU did it! We achieved our $200K goal and exceeded it by $15K. That $200K turns into $400K!
We are incredibly grateful for our supporters who have helped us with generous donations to our campaign. Thanks to all of you, we are getting our new shelter where we can help even more community cats!
We are in the contract process of purchasing a building in the Edgewood area that we think is perfect for us. We got an amazing deal on this building, and the owner is aware of our charitable work and happy about our intentions to help the community.
Upon inspection, the building is in need of some structural repairs that are estimated at $68K+. For that reason, we are extending our Capital Campaign to try to reach raise another $100K by the end of this year to raise additional funds for the required repair work and to make the building "cat-ready." Our plan is to repair and furnish the building so we can move in early in 2027.
Cost of building = $400K
Amount raised = $215K
Match amount = $200K
Total achieved with match = $415K
Additional Building-Related Expenses
Cost of repairs = est. $68K+
Other furnishing = TBD (includes things like kennels, shelving, cabinets, fire/alarm system, furniture, etc.)
Total estimate = $468 - $500K
Any additional funds raised for our Capital Campaign will go towards the cost of building-related expenses.

We are providing both options because we know some people may prefer one platform over the other.
